History of JST Group
1957 :

JST Mfg.Co.Ltd. was established and manufactured Japan's first solderless terminals and splices.

1963 :

JST became the second Japanese manufacturer authorized to bear the UL and CSA marks in its products.

1970 :

Crimp style terminals were authorized to bear the JIS mark (Japanese Industrial Standards) - a first for this type of product.

1972 :

JST started to manufacture and sell its first crimp style connector.

1975 :

J.S.T. Europe N.V. was established in Belgium, our first production base outside Japan.

1987 :

JST developed ZR connector, first 1.5 mm ID style connector in the world to meet needs for high density compact mounting.

1989 :

J.S.T. France factory opened in Vitry.

1990 :

Tokyo Engineering Center opened in Yokohama.

1992 :

America Engineering Center opened in Chicago, USA.

1993 :

In Germany and in Singapore, Engineering Center opened. Japanese factories were recognized as factories conforming ISO 9002.

1994 :

Batam factory opened in Indonesia.

1995 :

Chicago factory opened in America.

1996 :

J.S.T. Shangaï Co. Ltd. opened.

1998 :

Engineering Center opened in Kampenhout, Belgium. Jakarta Office (indonesia) and Seoul Office (Korea) opened.

1999 :

J.S.T. (Australia) Pty.Ltd. opened.
J.S.T. Korea and J.S.T. Indonesia factories opened.

2000 :

The French factory will have its surface trebled.

2002 : Opening of JST ingineering center office in Paris for automotive industry.
